Review : Please fix this problem
As a tool rental tech for Home Depot, I have learned that this wonderful piece of equipment suffers from one major defect. The handle where the switch is located is poorly designed, resulting in constant breakage. This is not only dangerous, but also impedes job completion. Sure, you can return the tool and get another one, but what a waste of time and money. Home Depot completely stands behind their rentals but Makita needs to modify or improve this right now. Either a new handle design or an after market bracket to strengthen the handle like the bracket I have designed, will solve this problem. If anyone from Makita reads this feel free to contact me @ idealist2@aol.com. I understand a lifetime warranty replacement has been offered on the handle . This is the wrong approach. Permanently fix the problem and maintain the sound reputation for high quality tools that perform excellently.
