Review : Excellent SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the RH432VCQ. Originally I purchased the RH328VCQ, but the RH432VCQ has 42% more impact power although it is 30% heavier (10.3 lbs. vs. 7.9 lbs.). Relative to the RH328 the RH432 has a lot more metal in the front of the unit that contains the rotary hammer mechanism; this leads me to believe that it is more robustly built. The RH432VCQ is constructed in Germany so I expect to get a lifetime out the tool. I plan on using it to anchor shelving units to concrete foundations this weekend and in the fall I will use it to remove the tile floor from my kitchen.

I did consider purchasing a SDS MAX hammer, but I went with this SDS-plus unit for the following reasons:

1) I can use it in rotation only mode to drill large holes in wood. To my knowledge all SDS MAX tools do not have a rotation only function. Because the only other drill I own is a 3/8" having this feature saves me from having to purchase another...


I think, explains the few gripe about Bosch RH432VCQ 1-1/4-Inch SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer Kit not fitting or leaking.
