I hooked up the Metabo PWE 11-100 wet polisher and started polishing some marble, after 5-8 min. I turned it off to move the stone and it would not turn back on! I went to Amazon's web page and found the return policy directed me to contact Metabo. (not real happy about that) I contacted Metabo customer service and a very nice young man -Tom- gave me the choice to go back to Amazon and work thru the system for a replacement or ship it to Metabo service center and they would repair it (1 year warranty)and send it out in 48 hours. I would have preferred a new one but the repair path sounded faster and less painful than trying to figure out the Amazon path.
It cost me the UPS to ship it BUT.... I sent it out on Friday and it was back in my hands the following Thursday!!! The repair slip said "secured leads to switch" I have used it to finish polishing the window sill I was making and am very pleased with the PWE 11-100 functionality.
