Review : Lot's of great stuff
A lot of great stuff in here, and a very cost effective buy compared to buying individual items. A number of things I would never have bought if they weren't part of the kit, but many of them turn out to be very useful. (Such as the circular metal saw, which makes beautiful cuts, or the drywall driver that was great for putting in 100s of screws when I was building a fence.) If there are any improvements, I would wish this kit had more batteries, they are the limiting factor. I had one battery go dead within three days of arrival. I had it replaced without questions at a local Makita dealer, it was covered by Makita warranty. But it does point to a weakness with the LXT system, the batteries are programmed to go belly up (shut themselves permanently down) in case of the slightest anomaly, and the LXT batteries are expensive to replace if this happens outside of warranty. (I suspect this is how Makita really makes money) Makita, a wish for the future, bring us larger capacity LXT...
